How Eris Works
Three formats. One platform. Compete all season with your friends.
Format 01 ยท High Stakes
Classic Survivor
Join a league and get an invite code to share with friends.
Each week, pick one team to win.
If your team wins, you survive to the next week.
If your team loses, you're eliminated.
You can never pick the same team twice all season.
Last person standing wins the league.
Format 02 ยท More Forgiving
Multi-Life
Same rules as Classic Survivor.
You start with a set number of lives, decided by your commissioner.
A wrong pick costs you one life.
Lose all your lives and you're eliminated.
More lives means more chances to recover from a bad week.
Last person with lives remaining wins.
Format 03 ยท Strategy Game
Confidence Points
Each week, you pick every game on the schedule.
Assign a unique confidence value to each pick, from 1 up to the number of games that week.
High confidence means you're very sure that team wins.
Correct picks earn you the confidence points you assigned.
Wrong picks earn 0 points.
Your points accumulate across the entire season.
No eliminations. Everyone plays every week.
Highest total at season end wins.
Example
3 games this week. You assign 3 points to Game A, 2 to Game B, 1 to Game C. Game A and Game C win. You earn 3 + 0 + 1 = 4 points that week.

Team Reuse
With 8โ16 teams per sport (much fewer than NFL's 32), leagues need a sensible reuse policy. Each league has a smart default, and commissioners can change it at any time.
Reset each life
Your used-team list resets every time you lose a life. Die and come back? Pick anyone again.
Reset when all teams used
You can't repeat a team until you've used every team in the sport. Once you've gone around the whole league, the slate clears.
No restriction
Pick any team any week, as many times as you like. Great for shorter leagues or casual play.
Strict: never reuse
Once a team is used, it's gone forever. No matter how many lives you have left. Only for the brave.
League creator
Commissioner
The person who creates a league becomes its commissioner. Commissioners have full control over setup, scoring, and settings, and are clearly marked in standings.
โ๏ธ
League settings
Set the format, number of lives, max members, pick deadline, and team reuse rule when creating a league. Most settings can be updated mid-season.
๐
Schedule management
Schedules are auto-loaded for NWSL, WNBA, and PWHL. If your sport isn't covered, you can add custom weeks and games manually.
โ
Score games
Once a game is final, mark it as a win, loss, or draw. Picks are scored automatically and standings update instantly.
๐ฅ
Manage members
Adjust lives, change roles, or remove members. Useful for correcting scoring errors or handling edge cases mid-season.
๐
Team reuse rule
Change how team reuse works at any point during the season. Useful when running a PWHL league with only 8 teams.
๐
Public vs. private
Private leagues are invite-only. Public leagues appear in Discover and anyone can join. You can flip this at any time.
